Q. What is an e-commerce website?
A. An e-commerce website enables you to sell products online.
Selling products online via an e-commerce website is by far the cheapest way to have your products available for sale, and unlike a normal shop the website is available 24/7. We have 2 e-commerce packages available for your to choose from.
1. Basic shop
The basic e-commerce shop is perfect for a company who's products are unlikely to change often, the products are hard coded into the site. The user will be able to browse your products, add to a shopping cart and pay for the items using either Google Checkout or Paypal. If any amendments are required to this website then you will need to contact us.
Advantages Quick to set up and get live, a very cost effective way to sell online.
Dis-advantages Unable to add or amend products yourself, all products are hard coded into the site.
2. Full CMS shop
If you need something more than the basic shop, then this is the package for you. Using the Magento E-commerce platform you will have full control over all the products and text on the site. Via a very sophisticated admin area, you will be able to see your total sales, the most searched for item, the most popular item and much more. Selling online really doesn't get any better than this, if you need the full works then this is the package for you.
Advantages Full control over all products and text, an admin area full of very useful info.
Dis-advantages More expensive than the Basic shop, but you get alot more for your money.
ScrumpyMacs was built using the Magento platform. They have huge control over all of the products, categories, email subscriptions, stock levels, customer contacts and much more, this is a very powerful package.
